Q: Whatever happened to the murderer Mel Gorman who killed my father Vard Tomlinson in 1978. The prosecuter plea bargained it down to attempted Manslaughter(1-5 yrs) and I heard he escaped on work release less than 2 yrs later. The prison wouldn,t release any info to the victims family because we wern,t his family. Was he ever caught? I think we have a right to know!!!!
