Girl, 16, accused of teen’s fatal stabbing, to be tried as adult

Defense and prosecuting attorneys agreed yesterday that 16-year-old Cierra L. Howard fatally stabbed a 17-year-old girl last month during an argument behind Howard’s East Side house. They disagree about whether the stabbing was legally justified. That argument will be resolved in adult court, where the case was transferred yesterday by Franklin County Juvenile Court Judge Kim A. Browne.
