Prison van crashes in El Campo
A prison van crashed early Thursday morning on U.S. 59 in El Campo. The wreck occurred about 7 a.m. on the northbound lanes of the freeway near Wharton County Road 404, according to the Department of Public Safety. Troopers said ambulances were dispatched to the scene to care for people who appeared to be injured. No other information was immediately available.
