Child hit by vehicle in Roanoke

A child was hit by a vehicle Saturday in Roanoke. Roanoke Police say it happened around 1:15 p.m. on Ferncliff near Burlington Coat Factory. Police say the child was hit, received apparent non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. The driver was given a summons for failure to maintain control.
