Beach jury: Man shot drug dealer over bad cocaine
VIRGINIA BEACH A Circuit Court jury Friday found a Portsmouth man guilty of killing a drug dealer over what he perceived to be low-quality cocaine. According to a news release from the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, Ulysses Lee Keeling, 37, bought a quantity of the drug from Rafael Hernandez in December 2012.

VIRGINIA BEACH Amanda Barrington will serve the maximum sentence under a plea agreement - three years - for child neglect in her infant son's death, a Circuit Court judge decided Wednesday. Devin Barrington Abbott, 13 months old, was found dead in his bed Nov. 26, 2012. His mother pleaded guilty in March to the child-neglect charge.

VIRGINIA BEACH Jamiel D. Graves pleaded guilty this morning to strangling his ex-girlfriend and hiding her body in a closet.
