Dance Marathon jumps into action
Abby Moore, has been waiting all year for this night. Last year when the University of Iowa’s Dance Marathon 24-hour Big Event kicked off, the 14-year-old from Jesup, was at UI’s Children’s Hospital receiving treatment for Ewing’s sarcoma — a rare disease in which cancer cells are found in the bone or in soft tissue. Her treatments ended in November. So, Friday night, Moore was ready to dance.

Massive crash shuts down highway
MARATHON COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - This winter storm may have helped cause a massive pile-up that shut down I-39 in Marathon County for some time. State troopers say at least 20 vehicles were involved. They also say three people were taken to the hospital, but their injuries are not believed to be serious. State patrol says they responded to more than 50 crashes around central Wisconsin yesterday.

Rural health care program to expand
A Wisconsin program that sends nurses to farms to provide basic care is expanding. The Rural Health Initiative currently serves Shawano, Outagamie and Waupaca counties in central Wisconsin.
